LOLA’S BREAD SUBSCRIPTION

Lola’s offers a weekly bread subscription. Think of it as a CSA for bread!
The subscription includes two loaves of fresh sourdough bread and four sourdough bagels for pickup on either Tuesday or Friday. One loaf will always be our classic Rustic Wheat Sourdough and
the second loaf will be the baker’s sourdough choice (e.g. Polenta, Rye, Raisin Walnut).
The bagels are an assortment of poppy, plain, and sesame.

The subscription is intended for a single-day pickup on Tuesday and Friday each week.
If your household eats a lot of bread and would like to sign up for both days you are of course welcome to as long as space is available.

Lola’s bread subscriptions are $20 a week. It guarantees you four sourdough bagels
and two loaves of Lola’s sourdough bread.

Bread Subscription starts May 21st!

Our bakery is a small artisan operation, so subscriptions are limited.
When we have sold the maximum number of subscriptions, we will start a waiting list. Email bakery@lolasomaha.com to join the waiting list.

FAQ

  • Sourdough is a technique not necessarily a flavor. Most of our bread is not particularly sour. The name refers to the natural leavening process, meaning that no commercial yeast is used to speed up the rise of the bread.

  • The majority of our bread is vegan, made with flour, salt, and water. The focaccia does have olive oil, but is still vegan. Lola’s brioche has eggs and milk. But it is all made using the natural leavening process to make it rise.

When you fill out your subscription form, it will ask if you have dietary restrictions. Please note if you are vegan or allergic to anything.

  • The baker’s choice bread might be along the lines of a polenta bread, cranberry walnut, or brioche. It will always be in the same tradition of Lola’s bread, rustic and simple.

  • You can pick up your bread on Tuesdays or Fridays at Lola’s, 4952 Dodge St.

  • We recommend that you place the order for the only day available and then join the waitlist for your preferred day. People on the waitlist will be given the first choice of spots on the alternate day.

  • See if a neighbor, friend, or family member can pick up your subscription. Plan ahead and make friends with other bread subscribers so in a pinch you can ask them to grab your loaves. We do not have the space to hold on to unclaimed bread, nor do we like to hand over day old bread.

  • Lola’s bread stays fresh for several days when stored in plastic bags. It also freezes well. You could also find a friend to split the subscription with.

  • We can’t pause subscriptions so if you know you will be leaving town, please find a friend to eat your bread that week.
