Lola’s Collective is a values-driven hospitality group rooted in connection, community, and care. Founded by friends with a shared vision for meaningful work, we bring people together through food—and the experiences it creates.
Our collective includes beloved neighborhood restaurants Fig. and Lola’s, our naturally leavened sourdough bakery, and the newest addition: Fig. Events & Catering.
What We Stand For
We are inspired by outsiders, revolutionists, simplicity, nature, craftsmanship, and most of all, love. Every decision—from how we source ingredients to how we support our teams—is grounded in our commitment to a more sustainable and just food system.
We blend the best of traditional practices, like slow-fermented sourdough, with a forward-thinking vision rooted in local, organic, and community-driven principles.
Who Is Lola?
Lola isn’t just a name. She’s a spirit—a blend of many people we’ve known and the kind of person we all aspire to be: strong, nurturing, creative, and deeply committed to making things happen.
We opened just five months before the world shut down in 2020, and it was this spirit of perseverance and community that carried us forward. Lola represents that drive to create something beautiful and lasting, even in uncertain times.

Sourdough is the heart of Lola's
All of Lola's breads, from the sea salt focaccia to our brioche pastries to our rustic wheat start with a wild ferment levain. We use local rye and whole wheat flours to create the artisan bread and pastries that we serve at Lola's in Dundee.
An act of love and artisan craft.
Our bread is hand cut and shaped each morning.
Loaves are available for purchase at the counter of Lola's Cafe, 4952 Dodge St.
We also have a sourdough club, to ensure that your family always has this nutritious stable on hand.
